WWE Wrestlemania 29 was an event that took place on April 6, 2013 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. It is the thirty-seventh annual Wrestlemania, and was produced by WWE for pay-per-view (PPV) on the WWE Network. It was the first WrestleMania since 2006 to be held in April. The event was available to approximately 1,000 satellite, cable and IPTV companies in 1.07 million pay-per-view homes. The event was also distributed globally on WWE's website on April 7, 2013 through YouTube and WWE's YouTube channel. Wrestlemania 29 garnered 467,000 buys worldwide, including 330,000 domestic buys which is a drop from last year's 512,000 buys. The event also had its international televised broadcast on Sky Box Office in the United Kingdom and Main Event in Australia. This was the first WrestleMania to be held in New Orleans, which celebrated Mardi Gras that weekend. The official theme song for the event was "Hollywood" (similar to The Rock's previous theme "Electrifying") by Hollywood Undead. This WrestleMania features professional wrestling matches involving different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds, plots, and storylines that were played out on WWE's primary television programs, "Raw" and "SmackDown". Wrestlers portrayed villains or heroes as they followed a series of events that built tension, and culminated into a wrestling match or series of matches. After defeating The Undertaker at WrestleMania 28, Triple H (with Shawn Michaels as his special guest referee) declared that he would end The Undertaker's undefeated streak at the next year's WrestleMania. On the April 5 episode of "Raw", The Undertaker appeared and accepted Triple H's challenge along with a stipulation that The Undertaker would be the one to choose the stipulation for their match. On May 13 at Over the Limit, Undertaker pinned John Cena to become a record breaking 21-time world champion, breaking Cena's previous 12-World title record. The following night, during the Raw broadcast in London, England, Triple H unveiled his new submission finisher dubbed "the Pedigree", which was performed on Randy Orton, who he pinned to win the WWE Championship. On the June 10 airing of "Raw", The Undertaker accepted Triple H's stipulation that their match would be a no-holds barred match. As part of that evening's main event, Undertaker lost his record breaking title to John Cena and failed to regain it against Cena in a rematch on July 14 at SummerSlam despite interference from The Shield (who were then outcasts from Triple H). cfa1e77820
